Passed back results of drip painting applications. You should know if you were accepted or not AND for what day. Completed Bell Work: Paint Pallet Chart--Discussed with the class Theme Object Study--30 minutes (Last day to work in class) Wednesday, September 17 Carefully measured and cut a new page for our altered books and glued it in. Discussed the application process for participating in the drip painting after school even. Applications Due Monday, September 22. Discussed coloring book for Haiti. Submitted line drawings for evaluation. Learned what cross contour lines are. Completed a cross contour line drawing of a still life on the added page in our books. Monday, September 15 Got feedback on our themes Took notes on our Jackson Pollock Foursquare using blog post: 50 Facts: Jackson Pollock Bring Theme Object to class to draw on Friday, September 19 Tuesday, September 9 Practiced fire drill and lock down drill. Worked 5 minutes on dots (Due Thursday, September 11) Talked about the Altered Books project. Theme, 5 questions about your theme, and 5 new art media or techniques are due Thursday, September 11. Watch THIS. AND THIS. Friday, September 5 Finished line drawing with sharpie--turned it in. Used line drawing to create a dot for dot day on a piece of sheer vellum--Requirements: 1) Trace circle on vellum 2) Trace part of line drawing on circle with sharpie 3) Cut out circle 4) Choose a color scheme (Complementary, Analogous, or monochromatic 5) Fill the page 6) Blend colors 7) Neat!
